“We have the ability to see addiction using neuroimaging. We have the ability to see whether a patient’s brain is healing from the damage addiction causes before releasing them from rehab. I believe it is the nurse that can change how addiction is viewed in our society and help those who are addicted to understand how addiction has happened to them and how they can heal from it. There are more than 30,000 nurses in Idaho. My goal is to talk to every one of them about the Neuroscience of addiction. History is watching us.”
